On a sunny bright Wednesday morning, the wonderful ladies of the Ventnor Inner Wheel met at Ventnor Town Council’s newly constructed toilets in the town centre, to unveil a small plaque to commemorate the twinning with three new toilets in Zambia. Supported by Ventnor Town Council Mayor Steph Toogood this is a real help to people in areas overseas without sufficient sanitation facilities.
The inner wheel raised the funds for these toilets in Africa to improve the conditions for young girls and women in rural areas. We are delighted to be associated with such an important initiative for the well-being, dignity, and self-respect of people in these areas’ high instances of rural poverty. Ventnor as a town with all of its fantastic community spirited groups really does lead, the way in so many good initiative to help improve people’s lives.
