During a respite in the unpredictable weather , the friends of VBG did a sterling job of the next stage of the beds out side the Council building in Salisbury Gardens. Reducing the amount of planting they cleared the area for more growth and re planting the beds at the later stage after ground surface recovery time. Already the difference is remarkable, and the team worked tirelessly in the autumnal sunshine only breaking for tea and cake whilst on the go. Ventnor Town Council Mayor, Steph Toogood was on hand to thank the team for their hard work.
The friends are helping to make the area around so much nicer for both users and visitors alike as it is already such a lovely place to walk and relax in , with a view second to none. Their expertise and passion is shown so in the results they produce with their work. A well earned thanks to all of the friends involved with the work.
Two of the Friends of VBG returned on Monday morning to plant up parts of the beds, what an astounding effort this has been, the entrance to the Green Room at Salisbury Gardens has never looked so smart.
